Zaki Abdulrahim

Bio

My name is Zaki Abdulrahim, and I am a systems and enterprise technology professional based in Sofia, driven by a long-standing fascination with how complex systems power the world’s most critical businesses. From early in my career, I was drawn to large-scale, high‑reliability computing environments where precision, accountability, and deep technical understanding truly matter.
I currently work as a Z Systems Software – Worldwide IMS Support Manager and System Z Ecosystem Leader, supporting mission‑critical mainframe environments used by organizations that depend on stability, performance, and trust. Over the years, I have developed a strong focus on IBM Z and IMS technologies, building expertise not only in technical problem‑solving but also in leading teams that operate under high expectations and global responsibility.
Beyond the technology itself, I am motivated by people and impact. I take pride in mentoring professionals, fostering collaboration across geographies and cultures, and helping teams grow both technically and professionally. I believe successful enterprise systems are sustained not just by powerful platforms, but by knowledgeable, curious, and empowered individuals behind them.
My professional journey reflects a balance between hands‑on technical depth and strategic leadership. I enjoy translating complex technical challenges into clear, actionable outcomes and continuously look for ways to improve resilience, efficiency, and innovation within established systems. As the technology landscape evolves, I remain committed to advancing the System Z ecosystem while preserving the reliability and discipline that define enterprise computing.
